"There is such a choice when it comes to picking bacon - whether you shop at your local butchers or at the supermarket - something these awards really prove.
"The quality of the bacon you buy is really important and one way of ensuring the provenance is by looking out for the Red Tractor logo when choosing your meat.
"This logo shows that the bacon is fully traceable back to Red Tractor farms which have been independently inspected."
Denhams fought off competition from over 300 cuts and cures which were entered into the contest, and were judged on a range of criteria including cure, texture, shrinkage and taste.
Bacon Connoisseurs' Week aims to highlight the versatility of bacon, along with demonstrating the importance of quality bacon.
Morrisons' Old Fashioned Cure British Back Bacon won the best supermarket bacon award.
