Bourton school is Outstanding according to Ofsted
ST GEORGE's School, Bourton celebrated noisily on Tuesday afternoon, when headmaster Michael Salisbury revealed to pupils, staff and governors that Ofsted had found them Outstanding in every category.
The inspector who visited in February said "behaviour is exemplary both in lessons and around the school." He also said the pupils' achievement was outstanding and that all make "exceptional progress."

Standards in reading, writing and maths were found to be "well above those of most schools nationally."
The staff were praised for "outstanding teaching" and credit was also given to the part that teaching assistants played.
