Body pulled from sea at Alum Chine identified as Robert Wray

A man who drowned along Alum Chine Beach in Bournemouth has been identified as Robert John Wray.

An inquest was opened and adjourned today after a man's body was dragged ashore on Monday morning.

Evidence was heard at Bournemouth Coroner's Court that 54-year-old Robert Wray from Prestwood in Buckinghamshire died of drowning.

Passers-by attempted to resuscitate Mr Wray, but he was pronounced dead on arrival at Poole Hospital.
