Blogging mums through to finals
A PAIR of mums from Sturminster Newton and Gillingham have reached the finals of a national awards scheme for parent bloggers.
Laura Hitchcock, a mum of four, and Elaine Croft, a mum of three, are both in the running to take home a Gurgle Blog award, which recognise bloggers who are juggling life between parenthood and work.
Mrs Hitchcock founded littlestuff.co.uk as an online shopping directory six years ago and it grew to become a parenting and lifestyle blog. She said: "I'm really thrilled to have reached the finals of the Gurgle Blog Awards, and it's fantastic to be in the company of so many great blogs. Two of us coming from Sturminster is actually unbelievable.
"Running a business alongside being a busy parent is difficult at times, but blogging is such an immediate and personal way to connect with people it just makes life easier."

Mrs Croft founded her business elainecroft.com a few years ago, selling handmade gifts. She said: "I'm still in shock, I've only been blogging since January 2011. This is all very new to me, but very exciting."
