Blandford man arrested after fatal alleged hit and run on A35 Upton Bypass
A BLANDFORD man has been arrested after a man died in an alleged hit and run along the A35 Upton Bypass.
Dorset Police are renewing their appear for witnesses after a 23-year-old Bournemouth man died while riding a child's micro scooter along the road in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police were called to the scene at around 2:15pm on Sunday afternoon and discovered a body near the roadside.
Initially, no driver reported they had been involved in a collision.

A 26-year-old man from Blandford has been arrested, and released on bail pending further enquiries.
Sergeant Mark Scammell of the Dorset Police Traffic Unit said: "I am renewing my appeal for members of the public to come forward with any information in relation to this incident.
"We believe the victim was riding a silver children's micro scooter in the early hours of Saturday morning when he was struck by an unknown vehicle which drove off without stopping."
