Award for Wareham Special Constable
SPECIAL Constable Glen Caddy of Wareham won the Special Constable of the Year Award at Dorset Police's awards ceremony.
The event was held at the Dorford Centre in Dorchester.

Special Constable Caddy has worked an average of 40 hours a week in his spare time as a volunteer police officer.
In the year leading up to his nomination for the award he attended nearly 500 incidents and has led the Purbeck Special Constabulary Team in targeted initiatives to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.

Debi Potter, Chief Officer of the Special Constabulary, said: "Glen has delivered an exceptional level of service over the past year."
She added: "He showed great initiative to save the life of a man who had taken an overdose and he displayed real courage to enter a burning building to save the occupier.
"His efforts, and the efforts of the entire Special Constabulary in Dorset, make an incredible contribution to policing."
