Arsonists start fire at Christchurch toilet block

Arsonists caused a fire at a toilet block in Christchurch this morning.

A toilet roll was set on fire and used to ignite a bin inside the Bridge Street building at around 11.15am.

Fire crews received a report of smoke coming from the toilets and were able to put the fire out in around 15 minutes. The bin was virtually destroyed but there was only slight damage to the toilet block.
