Ansty Farm Shop on BBC Breakfast
ANSTY Farm Shop was featured on BBC Breakfast last Wednesday. They were reporting on an agricultural story about this summer’s weather and its impact on arable farming in the North and fruit farming in the South.
All the crew turned up at 6am to sort out best angles and shots. Five friends were asked to come and do some early morning picking. For all those beady eyed viewers - no - the shop does not opening normally at 7am for picking. They filmed two live interviews talking about how the summer weather had made this year’s fruit season spectacular. The strawberry crop was phenomenal. The crew at the Farm Shop had never seen a crop like it. Big large flavoursome strawberries. Although the main strawberry season has now come to its end there are still plenty of summer berries to pick; raspberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants, blackberries, etc.
As an impact of last year’s poor summer Ansty Farm Shop decided not to hold the famous Ansty Maize Maze this year. But they are holding the fantastic Ansty Summer Sports Shenanigans. They have set up about 20 fun games for all ages to have some hilarious silly summer fun. Think summer fete/sports day and you get the idea. Skittles, lawn tennis, croquet, splat the rat, egg and spoon races and much more. See ad for more info!
