Yong goalkeeper Allsop has signed at deal with the Cherries until the summer of 2016.
He signs after his contract at Leyton Orient expired earlier this week. He has made 24 appearances for Orient this season.
"He is a young goalkeeper with a lot of potential to get better" added Howe.
"He is a good size and a good kicker of the ball - he has all the attributes to be a really top goalkeeper."
