AFC Bournemouth midfielder Wes Fogden believes the Cherries' recent slump can help them get their Championship promotion bid back on track.

Bournemouth ended a five-game losing streak with a 1-0 win over Stevenage on Tuesday, with the Dorset side hoping to move back into the playoff picture.

"We put in a really good performance passing wise in the first half at Stevenage, and managed the game really well in the second half" said Fogden.

"That's something we haven't really done over the past five games so it's nice that it all came together and ended the run, and hopefully we can go again now.

The Cherries are only two points adrift of the playoff places - narrowly behind Yeovil Town, Tranmere Rovers and Swindon Town who are all locked on 63 points.

Bournemouth visit struggling Oldham Athletic on Saturday, who are desperate for a win to move out of the League One drop zone.
