AFC Bournemouth defender Tommy Elphick ready to move on after leg injury
AFC Bournemouth defender Tommy Elphick is relieved after discovering a dreadful challenge left him with severe bruising rather than a serious injury.
The 24-year-old was injured following a rash challenge by MK Dons player Ryan Lowe - who was shown a straight red card.
It was initially feared Elphick could have been seriously injury - but a scan on Monday showed he had severely bruised his tibia and femur.
"I am obviously delighted because it was a nasty tackle" said Elphick.
